Dissertation Title: Modeling hominin variability: The alpha taxonomy of Australopithecus africanus
Carrie Mongle is a PhD candidate in the Interdepartmental Doctoral Program in Anthropological Sciences. Her dissertation research provides a necessary statistical framework to address species biodiversity in the hominin fossil record and resolve one of the longest standing taxonomic controversies in paleoanthropology.
